Job Overview

Soul Living Care is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated caregivers to join our growing team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide essential in-home care and support to seniors and elderly individuals, helping them live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes.

This role focuses on delivering respectful, dignity-centered care that supports the physical, emotional, and social well-being of each client.


Key Responsibilities

Dementia & Alzheimer’s Care

Provide memory-focused care for clients living with dementia or Alzheimer’s by supporting cognitive engagement, maintaining structured routines, monitoring safety, preventing falls, and offering reassurance and compassionate companionship.

End-of-Life & Palliative Care

Support clients and families during sensitive stages of life by providing comfort-focused care, assisting with pain and symptom support under professional guidance, and offering emotional and spiritual support.

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

Assist clients with essential daily personal care activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, hygiene support, toileting and continence care, mobility assistance, transfers, and feeding support.

Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)

Help clients maintain independence by assisting with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, grocery shopping, errands, and appointment scheduling.

Personal Care Support

Provide hands-on assistance with hygiene, mobility, and daily routines to ensure clients remain comfortable, safe, and supported in their home environment.

Companion & Social Care

Promote emotional well-being by engaging clients in meaningful conversation, games, walks, hobbies, and social activities. Support community outings and encourage connections with family and friends.

Respite Care

Provide temporary care coverage to allow family caregivers time to rest and recharge while ensuring continuous, dependable care for their loved ones.


Qualifications

  • Previous caregiving or Personal Support Worker experience preferred
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assist with mobility and personal care tasks
  • Commitment to maintaining client dignity, safety, and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans
